What to expect with FedEx Freight Direct

Your large planter ships on a pallet via FedEx Freight Direct, a noticeable step up from generic LTL freight:

    • 2-hour delivery windows — morning or evening, your choice
    • Text and email notifications when your shipment is scheduled, the day of delivery, and 30 minutes before the truck arrives
    • Curbside Delivery — Curbside, with a liftgate, along with an appointment (included on every retail order)
    • Real-time tracking via fedex.com or the FedEx app
    • Signature required at delivery — please have someone 18+ available

Want White Glove Delivery? Add it to your order at checkout for two-person delivery, placement in the room of your choice, and optional packaging removal. Available on orders $500+ in approximately 90% of the US — we'll confirm availability for your zip code.

Living in a condo, apartment, or high-rise? White Glove Delivery requires an available elevator (preferably a freight or service elevator) at the time of delivery. The FedEx team cannot carry planters up stairs. If your building requires elevator reservations, certificates of insurance, or specific delivery hours, please arrange these in advance. If elevator access is unavailable when FedEx arrives, the planter may be delivered to the building lobby or rescheduled at additional cost.

Inspect before signing. Open the pallet and check each planter at delivery. Note any visible damage on the FedEx delivery receipt before signing — this is the cleanest path to a fast resolution.

    Smaller items — FedEx Ground

Some smaller planters and accessories under 150 lbs ship via FedEx Ground (commercial addresses) or FedEx Home Delivery (residential, including weekends). Standard FedEx tracking, no appointment required, no signature unless you request one. Typical transit: 1–5 business days. Your shipping confirmation email will indicate which carrier is handling your order.

    If something arrives damaged

Fiberglass is durable, but freight happens. If you see damage at delivery:

    1. Note it on the FedEx delivery receipt before signing — the driver will wait while you inspect.
    2. Photograph the damage — pallet, packaging, and planter.
    3. Email sales@potsplantersandmore.com within 48 hours with photos and your order number.

We'll repair, replace, or credit at our discretion under our 3-year warranty. Concealed damage discovered after unpacking must be reported within 5 business days of delivery.

    High-rise, condo, and apartment delivery

We deliver to multi-unit buildings every day, but a few things need to be in place for delivery to succeed:

    • Reserve your building's freight or service elevator for your delivery window. Most buildings require 24–72 hours' notice and may restrict deliveries to weekday business hours.
    • Confirm the elevator can fit the planter — box is approximately 2" bigger than the planter dimensions. Measure your elevator and unit doorway before ordering.
    • Certificate of Insurance (COI) — many buildings require one before any vendor enters. We can request a COI from FedEx — email sales@potsplantersandmore.com at least 5 business days before delivery.
    • If the elevator isn't available when FedEx arrives, the planter may be delivered to the lobby or rescheduled at additional cost.

Not sure whether your building can accommodate White Glove Delivery? Contact us before ordering — we'll help you choose the right service level.

    Trade & job-site delivery

For landscape architects, designers, and commercial buyers:

    • Job-site delivery — provide site contact, hours, and any access restrictions at order
    • Coordinated delivery — we'll schedule finishing your planters to coordinate with your install dates
    • Blind ship — no PPM branding on pallet or packing slip for trade clients managing end-customer relationships
    • Certificate of Insurance (COI) — available on request for sites that require one
    • Inside delivery, white-glove, or installation coordination — available on request, quoted per project

Outside the continental US (AK, HI, Canada, international)

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, or international destinations can't be placed on this site. We work with freight forwarders for these regions — email sales@potsplantersandmore.com with your destination and we'll arrange a quote. FedEx Freight Direct also covers Canada, so cross-border quotes are usually quick.

Some planters blend in, but this one doesn’t. Bring a tall oval planter into a space, and the whole space shifts. The height alone adds presence, and the stretched oval form gives plants a proper stage instead of just a pot to sit in.

It’s the kind of piece that works anywhere: flanking a doorway, filling out a hallway, or holding its ground on a patio.

Made from fiberglass, it’s tougher than it looks yet light enough to move when the urge to rearrange strikes. It can also withstand sun, rain, and busy foot traffic without giving up its clean look.

What Makes the Shape Stand Out

Oval planters aren’t common, which is why this one catches attention right away. The elongated curve pulls the eye upward, almost like adding a few extra inches to the ceiling. As a tall oblong planter, it gives structure without the heavy, boxy feel that square planters often bring.

Indoors, it slips neatly against walls or frames a console table without hogging space. As an oblong indoor planter, it works in those awkward spots where round pots just feel clunky.

Step outside and it’s a different story: the same planter becomes a tall oblong garden planter that lines pathways, anchors a patio corner, or frames an entry.

It’s a rare shape, but not one that shouts. More like the quiet detail that makes the whole scene feel thought through.

Easy Placement Ideas

For Indoors

  • Put a large oblong planter beside a window so your plant frames the view.
  • Flank a fireplace or console table with two planters for that balanced, styled look.
  • Place one at the end of a hallway with a tall plant, and watch how it changes the scale of the space.
  • In an office or lobby, place a few side-by-side to soften the edges and make the room more inviting.

For Outdoors

  • A pair of tall oval outdoor planters by your front door feels grand and welcoming.
  • Line several along a garden path for rhythm and flow.
  • Use them at the edge of a patio for privacy, filled with tall grasses or bamboo.
  • Mix them with shorter oblong planter boxes to get that layered designer look.

One planter works as a standout piece, a pair creates balance, and a group defines the whole space.

Plants That Shine in This Planter

The oval shape gives you room to play with scale and texture. Here are some combos that really work:

  • Tall grasses like pampas, fountain grass, or bamboo for height and movement.
  • Bold sculptural plants such as snake plants, yuccas, or palms for a strong, modern feel.
  • Trailing greenery like ivy or pothos that spills over the edge and softens the clean lines.
  • Seasonal color, such as hydrangeas, tulips, or chrysanthemums, can provide fresh pops throughout the year.
  • Outdoor classics like dwarf citrus trees or evergreens that stay lush and full no matter the season.

Colors Options and Finishes

One of the things I like about the Pego Oval is that it comes in so many colors with low and high gloss finishes, and each one shifts the mood. These colors include:

  • White: Crisp, clean, and perfect for modern or Scandinavian spaces. Pair it with dark green foliage for striking contrast.
  • Black: This color is strong and dramatic, which is why it looks amazing in a loft, on a sleek patio, or against lighter walls. Match it with bright flowers, like reds, yellows, or silvery eucalyptus
  • Gray: Neutral tones like gray, taupe, or sand let the plant shine and fit easily into almost any style. They ground bold interiors and blend smoothly with natural outdoor textures.
  • Red: This color is bold and playful. It turns the planter itself into the feature piece. Add white flowers or leafy greens, and you’ve got a lively accent that’s super vibrant.
  • Taupe or sand tones: Easy, natural shades that suit transitional interiors or patios with wood and stone.

Mixing finishes is a fun trick too. A white oblong planter beside a black square planter feels modern and graphic, while grouping taupe and gray gives a softer, layered effect.

Styling Tips

If you’re thinking about how to use it in your space, here are a few ideas:

  • Place a large oblong planter in an empty corner to soften the lines of the room.
  • Use pairs of tall oblong planters outdoors to frame pathways or entrances.
  • If your walls are bold in color, pick a neutral planter to ground the look.
  • If your room is minimal, go with a strong color, like black or red, to add depth.
  • Mix sizes: a 12-inch planter beside larger versions keeps things balanced and adds variety.

Elevate Every Corner with the Pego Oval Tall Planter

If you’ve been looking for a planter that does more than hold a plant, the Pego Oval Tall Planter Pot is it. The oval shape feels different, the tall body adds elegance, and the finishes give you plenty of styling options.

You can use it as a white oblong planter in a calm, airy living room. You can pick the black planter for a dramatic patio accent. Or go for neutrals that blend in quietly and let the greenery take the spotlight.

We’d recommend it because it adapts so easily. It looks just as good in a corner of the living room as it does lining a garden path. And once you’ve styled it, you’ll see how much life it brings to the space.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Pego is available in two sizes (L × W × H): 14" × 10" × 22" (small) and 25.5" × 22" × 30" (large), with the larger size featuring a 22.5" × 19" planting opening. The oval footprint distinguishes the Pego from standard round or square vessels.

The large 25.5" × 22" × 30" size weighs 19 lbs. The weight of the smaller size is not explicitly listed but is described as lightweight. Both are practical for lobby floors, reception areas, and gallery settings.

The oval form and 30" height of the large size suit single-stem upright plants or plants with an arching habit. Snake plants, birds-of-paradise, dracaena, and ornamental grasses work well in the large model. The small 22" model is better suited for compact succulents, herbs, or trailing ornamentals.

The Pego ranks for "oblong pot" and "oval shaped pot," which points to buyers looking for an alternative to round or rectangular planters. It works well in lobbies, galleries, cafes, conference rooms, and reception areas where an oval form adds compositional interest. It can also be used in pairs to flank entry corridors.

Yes. All planters are crafted from commercial-grade fiberglass and finished with automotive-grade paint that resists UV fading, freeze-thaw cycles, wind, and rain. When the drainage holes are open or properly plugged before freezing temperatures, the planter will not crack or warp over winter. No sealers or coatings are needed.

You choose at checkout. Select "Yes Drainage Holes" for outdoor use, holes are pre-drilled and ready to plant. Select "No Drainage Holes" for indoor installations, and use a removable liner or saucer to protect floors. Drainage holes cannot be added after purchase, so choose carefully.
